Know who called

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

If you are like most people, you probably prefer to know who is calling you before you pick up the phone. Reverse Phone Number LookupBut even with activated caller IDs you may not always know who is calling you just by looking at the phone number in the screen of your phone. Therefore it is not surprising that ten thousands of searches in search engines everyday are searches for unknown phone numbers.

But since search engines can’t really tell exactly whether you are looking for a phone number, serial number or any other number you may get more results - most of the irrelevant - than you need or want. For this reason Radiux created the first reliable reverse phone number lookup. All entries can only be updated by the owner of that phone number through a Voice over IP verification system.

Search Engines are Backwards

You are looking for a fender guitar. You type the two words into a search box and you get 2.9 Million results (on Google that is). Doesn’t that seem a little backwards? Wouldn’t it be  better if the results came directly to you by email?  And you would only get those available right now? And from sellers that are close to you?

Well, try the new Radiux listing notifier which will do just that: notify you when the specific item you are looking for becomes available near you and at the moment it is for sale!

White Pages Semantic Web Style

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

foafRadiux now lists more than 66 Million white page records that include an FoaF file for each record.

FoaF is an acronym for Friend of a Friend, an experimental project and vocabulary for the Semantic Web. The Friend of a Friend project is creating a Web of machine-readable pages describing people, the links between them and the things they create and do.

FoaF is about a person’s place in the Web, and the Web’s place in the world. It is a simple technology that makes it easier to share and use information about people and their activities (calendars, weblogs, photos etc.), to exchange information between Web sites, and to automatically extend, merge and re-use it online.

The goal for the Radiux semantic web style White Pages is to provide reliable, valuable online connections between individuals. Participants will have to verify their entries using more than just a free email account.
