Printed Whitepages about to die

The utilities commission requires phone providers to deliver a directory once every year. But in the light of the Internet phone companies want to change that requirement so that it is only required to “publish” the listings. AT&T Inc. said last month it wants to try delivering its White Pages online rather than on front porches, noting the effort could save 4 million pounds of paper per year in two North Carolina test cities. AT&T’s internal research showed that customers rarely use the White Pages as they increasingly turn to the Internet for basic phone listings. Bob Bennink, the general counsel for the North Carolina Utilities Commission, said the agency will consider the issue at a mid-October meeting.

But you don’t have to wait for the old Bell to make a move on Radiux.com you can already search more than 66 Million white page records and get better results than from any other people search application.
